The Commonwealth Community Trust (CCT)
The Commonwealth Community Trust (CCT) is a statewide not for profit agency that provides an opportunity for people with disabilities to have a Trust fund that will not jeopardize public benefits such as SSI and Medicaid. There are two types of trusts: The Special Needs Trust - a third party trust usually established by a family member and The Pooled Disability Trust established by the person with a disability who comes into a sum of money.

Alzheimer's Association
The Alzheimer's Association, a national voluntary health organization, provides information and services to people with Alzheimer's, caregivers, researchers, physicians, and health care professionals. 

AARP
AARP is the nation's leading organization for people age 50 and older. It serves their needs and interests through information and education, advocacy, and community services which are provided by a network of local chapters and experienced volunteers throughout the country. The organization also offers members a wide range of special benefits and services, including Modern Maturity magazine and the monthly Bulletin.

National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys

American College of Trust and Estate Counsel
The purposes of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel ("College") are to maintain an association, international in scope, of lawyers skilled and experienced in the preparation of wills and trusts; estate planning; probate procedure and administration of trusts and estates of decedents, minors and incompetents; to improve and reform probate, trust and tax laws, procedures, and professional responsibility; to bring together qualified lawyers, whose character and ability will contribute to the achievement of the purposes of the College; and to cooperate with bar associations and other organizations with similar purposes. 

National Senior Citizens Law Center
The National Senior Citizens Law Center advocates nationwide to promote the independence and well-being of low-income elderly individuals, as well as persons with disabilities, with particular emphasis on women and racial and ethnic minorities. 

ABA Commission on Law and Aging
The ABA Commission on Law and Aging (CLPE) is dedicated to examining the law-related concerns of older persons. Established by the American Bar Association in 1978, the Commission has sought to improve legal services for the elderly, particularly through involvement of the private bar, and has explored legal issues surrounding long-term care, surrogate decision-making, individual rights, guardianship, housing, social security, elder abuse, and other public benefit programs. 

Administration on Aging
The Administration on Aging is a Federal agency that has the single charge of serving the nation's 43 million seniors. 

Benefits Check Up
The National Council on the Aging created BenefitsCheckUp to help older adults to quickly identify programs that may improve the quality of their lives. It's a free, easy-to-use service that identifies federal and state assistance programs for older Americans.

Virginia's resource for health and aging. A not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping seniors and caregivers.

Alzheimer's Resource Center
Caregiving for someone with Alzheimer's is one of the most difficult jobs in the world. In addition to making sure that your loved one's daily needs are met, you are also faced with the fact that your relationship with this person is no longer what it once was. Oh, and as a little side note, you are also trying to maintain some sort of life of your own. Many caregiving guides out there give very technical and clinical information to try to enable caregivers to do a better job.
